Through Nantou County we travel. This stunning route sees us traverse hidden valleys where the only way to escape is through waterfall strewn tunnels. We find the island's largest lake through fern tree and narrow lane, exit alone unknown roads avoiding the traffic. Teapots, train towns and snake kilns are all along this routes second stunning wide valley floor.  We end  this trip up in Taiwan's largest national park, getting a sneaky look at East Asia's highest peak, Yushan before sleeping amongst the stars.
